IT’S GRIPPED VIEWERS for two seasons, and now Christmas has given us more of Charlie Brooker’s grimly plausible dystopian drama, Black Mirror.
The ‘Christmas special’ (it couldn’t have been farther from festive) starred Jon Hamm and Rafe Spall as two men who have run afoul of scarily smart technology.
In this world, real-life people can be blocked as they can on social media. Contact lenses act as your phone, your camera, and a means of seeing through other people’s eyes. People’s minds can be recreated in digital form. Shudder.
A key part of the plot was Wizzard’s I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day. A key, terrifying part of the plot.
If you liked Wizzard before you watched the show, you definitely do not like them now.
Basically, everyone came out of it feeling like this.
If you missed it, you can watch Black Mirror: White Christmas on 4OD now. Prepare yourself, mentally.
